Social and Political Philosophy 2008

"This is going to do something really spiffy." (Regarding Rawls' hybrid theory of social contract theory + classical liberalism.)

(Background: the entire class has just admitted to never watching The Wrath of Khan.)
"Now I won't even bother with my example." (Proceeds to scribble madly on the whiteboard.)

  1. It is a sad, sad day for the Whitworth Philosophy department when there is not a single student who has seen Wrath of Khan in the class. You should all be ashamed.

  2. Indeed, I must also agree with Will! To what is the world coming? Star Trek provides philosophers with much needed fodder for inquiry! Go, watch them all... NOW! Oh, except the motion picture... the motion picture sucked!
